My Story
My aunt Gwen has always been like my second mother, we have always been close. When she got diagnosed with breast cancer; she did not look at it as the death sentence that most people tend to make it out to be. She saw it as an opportunity to do things in life that she didn't think to do before. Surviving breast cancer helped her to focus her passion and saw that even though the body goes through many changes during treatments, she made it her mission to make apparel that help those to feel comfortable with their "new body". To encourage others to understand that cancer is not the end all be all and that life is renewed and restored through cancer survival. Although she survived breast cancer; she passed away before she was able to see her passions fulfilled. I chose to continue her passion and dream. To spread her light to others, who have cancer or for people who have been affected by cancer. Second Chance is what I am using to spread that light, to encourage people to not just survive but thrive in life. To use every moment to the fullest. But i also want to encourage you all to be there for each other. Everyone has a story and could use comfort. I encourage everyone to follow their passions and know that life is forever an opportunity to get a second chance; always having the idea that life will always be renewed and restored. Be a light to everyone around you. Stay encouraged and encourage others.
